Aside from the food I buy, I usually stay for a brief time to enjoy their <span style="font-weight: bold;">FREE</span> WiFi service.<br /><br />Last May 10, I mentioned on the <a href="http://davaohotspots.blogspot.com/2007/05/mcdonalds-davao-main.html#comment-3961867176762877691">McDonald's HotSpot Review</a> that a friend from the management told me that the head office mandates them to incur some fees for the WiFi service. I didn't believe that yet since I was still able to use the FREE WiFi Service a week ago.<br /><br />Just this afternoon, while enjoying my Chicken McDo lunch, I conveniently opened my laptop on the side table hoping that I could <span style="font-weight: bold;">again</span> make use of their free WiFi service. argh. GlobeWIZ logo covered my homepage. The WiFi service is now exclusive for GlobeQuest users and those who would buy that very expensive internet card from McDo.<br /><br />Let us admit, the FREE WiFi service had some advantage on the part of McDonald's. The restaurant is located in front of Davao's Business park where a lot of yappies (with lappies) are housed. Most of them take their break at McDonald's while enjoying the convenience of free internet over a McDonald's meal.<br /><br />I guess my frequency of visit to McDo Bajada would not be as frequent as before.
